New Build House

The design concept for this 5 bedroomed house in Green Belt countryside was to create a luxury modern family house which took advantage of the fantastic views over the rolling fields to the rear by including a large kitchen/dining space with family lounge and large sliding glazed doors giving onto a patio area overlooking the fields. The master bedroom suite has a partially enclosed balcony also affording excellent views, glazed feature entrance and open staircase, spacious living rooms, cinema room, ensuite bathrooms and dressing rooms.

The build involved the demolition of a farm cottage which had fallen into a state of disrepair and dereliction.

The site is located in an area of green belt that required discussion and negotiation with planners regarding the size and scale of the re-development.

The design of the property strikes a balance between vernacular with traditional brick detailing and tiled roof and with a significant modern twist having a glazed central feature that has a staircase slicing through the design to create an open and impressive entrance to the house.

A 1960s bungalow which had reached the end of its useful life was demolished to allow this client to construct their dream home.  A five bedroom detached property in a rural setting on the edge of Sutton Coldfield.  The design provided large living kitchen and family room space to the rear with wide sliding patio door giving access to the gardens.  Accommodation was maximised by including an additional bedroom suite in the roof space.  The house was constructed using high levels of insulation to minimise the carbon footprint of the development.

New build detached house in a piece of garden land left vacant between two existing houses, where planning permission was obtained after detailed discussions with planners.  The house was designed to reflect the local architecture of the neighbourhood and the detailing included many green and energy saving innovations such as photo-voltaic roof panels and enhanced thermal insulation.
