Adults with Autism
Residential Care Homes for Autism and Behavioural Issues

Wolverhampton Care Project

This is a large care home project consisting of two homes specialising in residential care for adults with learning and physical disabilities and acquired brain injury. The accommodation is to a high standard, featuring spacious bedrooms capable of accommodating specialist nursing equipment, with large accessible wet room bathrooms with over-head tracking hoists. There are a variety of lounge and dining spaces with differing themes, activity rooms and sensory rooms.

Residential Care Home for the Elderly

This is a large redevelopment and extension of care home providing residential and nursing care for elderly. Design was complex and had to take into account requirement of conservation officers in planning. Home malso remained operational during construction works.

Supported Living Homes for Adults with Learning and Physical Disabilities

Supported living homes provide residential accommodation for 3 or 4 adults with autism and physical disabilities. The properties are totally renovated converted and extended to provide accommodation consisting of a flatlet with lounge/kitchen, bedroom and accessible bedroom. Individuals are provided with the necessary support 24/7 if necessary and training to live independently.

This former children’s home located at Alvechurch in Worcestershire was acquired by clients in 2013. It benefitted from being located in beautiful countryside with fields and farmland all around it.

Our plans were to transform the disused building into a brand-new facility providing residential care for 9 adults with autism and learning difficulties. A stable building in the grounds has been converted into a specially designed bungalow to accommodate an additional resident.

Despite being located in Green Belt following lengthy negotiation with the planning department. Planning Permission was obtained for extensions to the building that were sympathetic to the rural location.

The buildings had fallen into a state of disrepair so the projects required a total refurbishment incorporating internal re-planning, fitting a wet-room, en-suite shower rooms and replacement of all services.
